There’s a Skating Rink Under the Gardiner Expressway

The Bentway opened this year and the first round of reviews are in. Toronto loves it, and we’re really good at skating apparently. It must be a full-blown Canada-wide “Canadian Thing”.

The Bentway park has been much anticipated since it was first announced that anonymous benefactors would be providing the city with $25 million dollars worth of funding. The anonymous backer for the project have since been reviled to be Judy Matthews a Toronto philanthropist with a hand in a number of creative projects including holding a place on the board of Artscape.
