Toronto Creatives The Vlog: Episode 03: Patrick Hunter
Hailing from Red Lake, Ontario a town we were not able to easily locate on Google maps, comes artist Patrick Hunter. It’s safe to say that Toronto can call Hunter our own since he’s lived here for more than five years, the unofficial minimum number of years it takes to be considered from somewhere.

Hunter paints in a woodland style, similar to that popularized by Canadaian Artist Norval Morrisseu, however Hunter brings a more abstract spirituality to his work that sets it apart from traditional woodland artists. I couldn’t think of a better example of this than Woodland Gummies.
We caught up with Hunter at his studio and again at a learning event he was hosting for Harbourfront Toronto, to get a sense of what drives his creative career.
Patrick’s work can be found online at patrickhunter.ca and can be seen in public spaces throughout the city including in the offices of the Ontario Trillium Foundation and Toronto’s City Hall.
