Skate-able ART at the Bentway Toronto
Skate-able ART at the Bentway Toronto
Art-Skate-Park at The Bentway
Toronto’s Bentway is one of our favourite projects to come to fruition in 2018, from it’s mysterious benefactor which we later found out was Judy and Wilmot Matthews, local eccentric bagillionaires.
During the winter months the park is covered in ice and provides a unique skating experience for Toronto and draws and incredible amount of tourism to the area. This summer the Bentway park was transformed into skate-able art! No ice required. No skates either!
The figure eight park makes for an awesome little skate-park, which is something the local area desperately needs / wants – since the city destroyed the local ‘home-grown’ skate park, that consisted of some sketchy cement work under the Bathurst St Bridge. Respect, but this is probably a better solution.
So here’s to skate-able art! We hope to see something like this again in 2019.
